Alphons Sadhan Special School

ALPHONS SADHAN It is a school for Differently Abled Children where dedicated teachers toil to enable them to come into mainstream of the society. It is under the guidance of Franciscan Clarist Sisters of S.H. Province, Ernakulam and is situated at Kidangoor, two and a half kilometer away from Angamaly. The institution had a humble beginning. The main aim was to find out Differently Abled children and to ar- range training programmes to enable them to do their own daily activities thus nurturing them to be a bliss for their family, society and country, it was inaugurat- ed on 8th February 1987, the day of the Beatification Anniversary of Blessed. Alphonsa, hence named as "Alphons Sadhan". The School began with 7 children and has now grown to a team of more than 25 staff and 150 children.
